love it

Found a new blog I love, Holgagraphy. It's all photographs, all taken with Holga cameras, by various artists. A few of my favorites are posted below. You should definitely check it out.

Beautiful, right?

why oh why?

WHY do I not have more time to spend on the internet? So lame. I have recently enjoyed stumbling on the Blogger channel, which pulls up random blogs I might like for me. They are so amazing/beautiful! I look at them and think of how much time the bloggers must have to spend taking in random things on the internet. It can be so inspiring, I wish I had more time to find things I loved. Oh well, one day. For now, I will just have to enjoy my sporadic/brief surfing that I get at night, if I'm not too tired, after Henry goes to bed. This is all for now. 'Night!

edgar muller

So, I was stumbling for the first time in a long time tonight, and came across a video that blew my mind a little. Ever heard of Edgar Muller? His street art is ridiculous. Ridiculous! Click the title to this post to see a crazy video of him making one of these crazy paintings in Iceland.

yet another post of Henry in his highchair

By now you've probably figured out that by "reading" my blog, you're really just watching my child grow up - mostly in his highchair. Oh well, I can't help it. Not only is he the main reason I watch the world through my viewfinder these days, but now that he's mobile his mealtimes are the only times he is still enough to get a focused photo. Anyway, here he is at his dinner tonight, silly faces and all.

mister blue eyes

I don't really have time to write anything, I just wanted to post this picture. I took it on Mother's Day, and of course I think it's gorgeous. Now I'm off to run some errands. . . again.

no plain-jane booties here

Recently, I revisited my baby booties. I had been wanting to embellish them with ribbons and buttons for a while, but hadn't had the time until the Spring semester was over. I finally got around to it, and am very happy with the results. They were cute before, but now they're even better. I made new listings for them in my Etsy shop, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for orders! My favorites are below.

henry loves kitty

I have a crazy cat, Anubis, or Nubie for short. She can be really nice, but she generally wants to be left alone (unless you're a man, in which case she will probably jump in your lap.) Surprisingly, when Henry was born she got a lot sweeter, and I am constantly amazed by how well she tolerates him. Especially because he loves her so much, he is constantly crawling after her, petting her when she doesn't want to be touched, and yanking on her tail. Turns out, she's a much better cat than I thought. Kid friendly is always a plus. Anyway, this morning Henry and Nubie did the cutest thing. Something outside caught their attention at the same time, and I just had to document them peeking out the door together. The last photograph shows what they were looking at. Too cute!!!

cousins

Yesterday, I took Henry to Chip and Ivonne's to play with our baby cousin, Carr. Even though their age difference makes it hard for Henry to keep up, they were still really cute together. Carr is so precious, I took a bunch of photos of him. Here they are for you to enjoy. I hope you like them Ivonne!

ok, just one more

I really was just going to bed when I remembered these pictures I took of Henry on Wednesday. I'm not going to write about them, just post them for you to look at.

so many things

So much to blog about, and I'm too tired. I haven't posted in a while for a lot of reasons. Finals, etc, and my computer has a virus! It's terrible. I probably shouldn't be online right now, I should be trying to fix my computer or going to bed like I said I was instead, but I can't stay away from the internet for too long. Anyway. . .
I started a garden. Since I don't have a yard, or even a balcony, it's all in pots in my living room. We get great light in the apartment, so I can grow pretty much anything.

A few of my planters (this isn't even a fraction of the plants I have in the living room, but these have the cutest containers):
Mexican Heather:

My precious mini succulents:

And, of course, a photo of the prettiest thing I've ever grown:

Like I mentioned before, I've had finals lately. I still have one project to hand in next week, and then I'm done. On Monday, I had to turn in a book of a project I'd been working on for a month. It got ruined by my cat that morning. It's a long story, she spilled a glass of water on it, but I scrambled to get it reprinted in time to hand it in. Here's the soggy one (my teacher still has the good one, but you can get the idea from this one):

When you turn the transparent page, there's a ghost of the same picture printed on card stock behind it:

Finally, me. Sami gave me a henna sunflower on the back of my calf. It's probably going to be there for a couple of weeks. I love it, think it's beautiful, and wish it would stick around longer. Look:

Below, one of my regular camera self portraits, and a recent version of "early morning mommy," both taken before a shower, real clothes, and makeup, of course. In the last one, I think I'm wondering if all the brownies I've been eating lately have shown up yet. I don't think so. Do you?

This is all (for the moment.) Goodnight!
