etsy: treasury east
Etsy has an exciting test going on: Treasury East. They are apparently considering a re-design of the treasury system, and are currently inviting all of their members to try out the new format. Right now, there are no limits and no expiration dates. Awesome! I just made my first Treasury East, and I think it's beautiful. I hope to keep making them until the opportunity is gone ... stay tuned for new posts! Find my treasury here.

favorite
Just for funsies ... posting my favorite collage from Senior Portfolio below. I love it, and I was thrilled that all of my professional portfolio reviewers thought it was the best one, too.

etsy trade
I just set up my second Etsy trade today - so excited! I'm getting this adorable organic cotton wristlet/clutch by lovely seller Abby at Infusion in exchange for one of my circle scarves. I can't wait to get this little beauty in the mail!

cross-process
Finally getting around to posting these ... some images from a cross-processed project in Alternative Processes and Techniques. These images are from E-6 slide film processed as C-41 color negative film.
The middle image is my favorite.

oh. my. goodness.
I know I'm biased, but am I raising a future heart breaker, or what? This picture was one of those happy accidents - I wasn't going for this pose at all, but he was so cute and happy there, playing with my light meter. Cutest boy ever!

While shooting for Senior Portfolio today, I took this close up of my little Mister Blue Eyes. Isn't he gorgeous?

new style - chunky fingerless mittens
There's a new style of fingerless mittens for sale in the store now. They are thicker, longer, and all around warmer. These mittens are also unisex - pretty exciting! - and available in about a dozen colors. Beautiful pictures by Arlie below.

I originally made these mittens as a custom order for an Etsy seller - Violets and Grace - to trade for some adorable vintage bud vases from her store. I can't wait to get them!

return to the darkroom
My alternative photographic processes and techniques class has me back to long hours in the darkroom. That means a return to film, and my old cameras. I'm posting some images here that I shot with my Holga (which I haven't used in years, and the shutter button sticks really bad) a couple of weeks ago. They are double exposures, super out of focus, grainy, and full of light leaks. I had fun taking them, and I think they're kind of neat.

treasury #2
I just made my second Etsy treasury! I think you can tell I'm already craving the beach. All of this stuff is beautiful, and I hope it gets everyone some good traffic/activity in their stores.

moss house
I've been having a love affair with moss for some time now. I love all the different kinds, the color, the texture. Moss is awesome. So imagine how I felt when I found/read about this moss house project tonight. Check out the pictures below. For more information, see this post on Design Sponge.

ship
I saw this bed in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog and I want it! For Henry, of course. I love how it has a small platform in the bow for play. I think any little boy (and some girls!) would love to have it. Too bad it's $1699. I bet we could make a cooler one cheaper ...

learning numbers
Henry is learning to say some numbers, and we made this video together a couple of weeks ago. I already posted it on Facebook, but I thought I'd re-post here for those of you that keep up with us through blogger.
new look!
The blog has a new look! I found myself preferring the white background of my Senior Portfolio blog, and started feeling like the white letters on black were just dizzying. So I changed. I also chose a template that stretches the text to fill more of the page. Hope you like it!
