I made an aviator cap for my friend Shawnee. It's like the one I made for me, but fits a little better. After working this pattern three times, it seems I may have perfected it. I'm a little jealous because I like the fit and color of this one more than mine. Oh well. I posted this on Etsy so I could start (hopefully) taking special orders for them. I hope people will like it!!!

custom scarf
Just posting to show the scarf I'm working on. It's my first custom order on Etsy(!) and it's a black and white version of the lacy scarf I have for sale in my shop. Pretty simple, and pretty exciting. It's nice to get some money for doing something that you love - and would be doing anyway.
If you haven't already, you should check out my shop. Like I said before, I only have a few listings, but I should be adding new stuff all the time. Its http://mbgdesigns.etsy.com. Tell your friends!

at long last
Finally, finally, finally. I set up my Etsy store today. I only have seven listings, but I think they look nice. My link to Etsy, under "Favortite Sites" on the right, is now a direct link to my store. Check it out, and buy something!!!

happy valentine's day
It's Valentine's Day. Without any money to spend, I chose to make my husband a cute homemade card. Who needs Hallmark when you have plenty of bristol board and fuzzy red yarn lying around? I thought the card was so adorable I wrapped it (and made a bow for the package out of the yarn.) In return, Austin gave me two dozen roses. They are beautiful.
In just a little while, when Henry is tucked in bed, we're going to eat some yummy food from Trader Joe's and settle down for a movie on netflix.com (taking advantage of that new streaming feature.) Hope you're having a Happy Valentine's Day!!!
