I had never heard of Safari Living before tonight ... but man do I want a subscription! I looked through the archive for a while and it looks gorgeous. I felt like I should post a few images here, partly to remind myself about it later, partly to spread the word. Oh AND! they have an online store. Shop here.
I found these images of the Orlando home that crafter Lauren Bradshaw shares with her musician/photographer husband Joey on Design Sponge (see post here)today, and I'm in love! They have a beautiful fresh eclectic style that seamlessly combines contemporary and antique pieces to create a fashionable and inviting space. Check it out! My favorite is the black and white nursery, shown in the last three images.
If you visit my store now through August 31st, you'll notice that every item title begins with "SHIPPING SPECIAL." For the summer, I'm offering free domestic and half off international shipping on all orders. I hope it will encourage some sales - it is certainly a good time to buy your scarves and hats, because I know I won't be offering any deals like this during the winter months...
I made a new treasury tonight, and this one is a little different. I included items that I want for Henry and his room, or would want if I had a little girl or infant again. Please visit the treasury here and be sure to comment.
When Henry was three months old, I did a photo shoot with him where I took close ups of "pieces" of him on a white background. Today, just four days after he turned two years old(!), I did a similar shoot. It is crazy to see the difference, and I have to say that I am one proud mama. This blue eyed boy is growing up nicely, and he is the sweetest person I know. Check out the old and new pictures below.
For Henry's second birthday celebration with his friends, we took him to the zoo. We walked around in the heat, petted/fed exotic animals, took an elephant ride, and had a small picnic between the alligators and baby ostrich cage. It seemed like all of the kids had a great time, and it was great to see their reactions to the animals. I'm posting a few highlights below ...
At long last ... I finished the birdie mobile for Mabel today, just two days after she was born! I think it turned out well, and I hope Mabel and her wonderful mommy and daddy love it.
Please look at my treasuries below ... the more looks, clicks, and comments they get, the more likely they are to be "hot" and seen by potential customers. Thanks for clicking!
I received an email from friendly blogger Nicole this afternoon, informing me that I was mentioned on her blog I Love Etsy. It's a wonderful blog where she posts her Etsy favorites daily (something I've actually been thinking about doing recently.)I'm honored to be included, and forever grateful for the exposure.
I guess I'm just not quite out of the Senior Portfolio habit of blogging about artists ... not that it's a bad habit to have. Anyway, just for funsies, I felt like posting some of Sandy Skoglund's images here. Skoglund photographs intricately constructed scenes, resulting in beautiful, otherworldly imagery. Check out her website here.
I am an artist, a mommy, and completely obsessed with yarn. I feel restless if I'm not constantly creating, and I spend all of my free time with my knitting.
